Jen Wilson

Jen graduated with a BA in photography, and then went on to discover how much she loves textiles and embroidery, so she started embroidering over face photographs. Currently she is incorporating multi-media collage in her textile art, including painting, quilting, applique, and found objects, focusing more on the surreal landscapes of her imagination. She also designs fabric on spoonflower.com ​

Jen loves to play with colour and the free form flow of surreal imagery to convey a sense of vivid play for the eye and mind. She taps into subconscious symbols to evoke feeling and thought, bringing to the surface what is not always apparent. Whimsy with an edge that goes deep into our psyche, our past and future. We see divinity in the mundane like secrets hidden in plain sight.
